Set your sights, steer your wheel, guide your arrow

However you navigate – be sure to land in Clarksdale this October for Deep Blues Festival 2018! October 11th through the 14th, there will be live blues a’plenty.

The Deep Blues Festival is a heavy blues event in the heart of the Mississippi delta. Musicians and bands are selected to represent where blues music has come from, and where it is going. The aim is the have balanced diversity between the traditional blues legends of the region and the young and hungry artists that have been inspired by them. In the ever-evolving world of music, we hope to bear witness to the passing of the torch from those who forged the styles to the keen mentees of the alternative blues world.

About the festival

This is a collaboration between two main venues, the New Roxy Theatre and the Shack Up Inn.  Nighttime shows begin at one venue and migrate to the other, so festival goers get to feast their eyes on two historic Clarksdale, MS, venues while feasting their ears on some real deep blues! Music between the two venues takes place Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, with Sunday afternoon music to recover by. Weekend passes allow entry to both the New Roxy shows and the Shack Up Inn. Weekend passes available March 1, 2018 in our shop here.
